Fees mainly reflect the professional's qualifications, seniority, and session length. A consultant psychiatrist with subspecialty training will usually charge more than an early-career psychologist; longer sessions cost more than shorter ones. Higher fees don't automatically mean a better fit — the right specialisation and rapport matter most.
